Doug is a professional engineer with over 27 years’ experience in the building and construction industry, focusing on mechanical HVAC systems. His extensive field experience working with air, hydronic and control systems testing has formed his holistic approach to integrating building systems. He has worked on a wide variety of projects around the United States, including Hawaii, as well as in Canada. These range from small retail facilities to higher education and K-12 schools, in addition to large scale projects such as the 30-story Park Avenue West Tower in Portland. Doug’s background has shaped his integrated approach to building commissioning, which assures all systems are working together as designed and operated. He is experienced in using trend and data logging to analyze building performance in a variety of project types including educational, healthcare, institutional, commercial and industrial. An ACG certified commissioning authority, Doug takes responsibility for the commissioning of building systems from initial project kick-off through final tests and checklists.
In his spare time, Doug enjoys restoring classic cars, keeping the “art” of old car designs on the road for current generations to enjoy.
