Jason SwartzTechnical Project Coordinator
Jason comes to GBS with a conservation and sustainability background through years of working at various non-profit organizations, agencies, and businesses throughout the West. He brings over a year’s experience in the green building industry. In his commissioning professional role, Jason supports GBS’ Senior Commissioning Consultants in delivering effective management of LEED commissioning projects including development of commissioning plans, functional tests, issues logs and final report. He also performs ASHRAE Level I energy studies, benchmarks building performance using the ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager database, and completes cost benefit analyses of energy efficiency measures. He is currently working on a variety of projects, conducting on-site commissioning activities such as performance testing and inspections, coordinating project logistics, developing forms and test sheets, and performing drawing and submittal reviews. Jason recently completed a two-year Applied Science Associate’s degree program in Energy Management, supplementing previously completed Bachelor’s degrees in Environmental Studies and Physical Geography. As a LEED Green Associate and WELL AP, he is passionate about working with clients and helping them achieve their sustainability goals.
Jason prefers to spend as much free time as possible exploring the outdoors on land, and on (and in) the sea in all seasons. Hailing from the Midwest, Jason feels most at home and at peace in wonderfully rainy Oregon.
