Mark EffingerSr. Commissioning Consultant
Mark provides technical expertise for Green Building Services’ energy audits and existing building commissioning services. Mark’s background includes hands on experience as a provider of Texas A&M’s registered Continuous Commissioning service and has led comprehensive existing building commissioning projects for a large hospital and several educational facilities. He has worked in the design and implementation of utility-based energy efficiency programs and has authored several papers and guidelines related to quantification of energy savings and building performance tracking strategies. Mark earned master’s and bachelor’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Irvine and is a registered Professional Engineer in Oregon. He did his master’s research on biogas turbines, with his focus of study on combustion systems. Mark is also a certified Measurement and Verification professional with experience in whole building energy savings analysis, in addition to being a Certified Energy Auditor (CEA).
When not at work, Mark enjoys spending time with his family while exploring the Pacific Northwest and experiencing new foods or cultures.
