With an extensive career spanning over 25 years, Ted is a leader in effectively managing all aspects of facility maintenance, energy, construction, landscaping and housekeeping operations for existing buildings. As the GBS go-to expert in existing building operations and maintenance best practices, Ted helps owners and managers raise the overall performance of their buildings while lowering operational expenses. He has supported a wide variety of project types, including multi-tenant high rise offices, higher education, convention centers, arenas, hospitals and hotels. He currently manages ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager accounts for clients, is the primary manager in GBS’ role as an Allied Technical Assistance Contractor (ATAC) under the Energy Trust of Oregon (ETO) Existing Buildings Program, and regularly conducts energy audits and sustainability assessments on existing buildings seeking ways to benchmark and improve their energy and operational efficiency.

 

Ted enjoys participating in athletic activities with his wife and three sons (ages 23 -27), be it the Hood to Coast 200-mile relay, the Pole-Pedal-Paddle competition in Bend, or the White Salmon Backyard Half Marathon Trail Run in the Columbia Gorge. (Go Team Fear the Spear!) He’s looking forward to nearly three weeks in Ireland, and climbing Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in the British Isles.
